This tea room is a must visit place whenever I come to Melbourne. Extremely well trained staffs with their friendliness and good manners makes it more special. The cake? 10 out if 10 obviously. I’m feeling like sitting in one of a romantic cafe in Paris.

On our annual family city Christmas trip we were delighted to find a table free for afternoon tea. The coffee was flavoursome, the Coloneille tea elegantly served in a gold and white tea cup, and the selection of cakes delicious! A perfect start to our festive trip!

Just a lovely warm inviting atmosphere with terrific service and beautiful sweet and savoury treats to enjoy.

My partner and I have been here quite a few times ( we found it by default) and we would have Tea and cake . Let me tell you the most amazing cakes ever with the most extensive tea list you could imagine.

We had High Tea for the first time last weekend and it was so special . Not only by the fact that the High Tea was delicious ( make sure you don’t eat prior) but Maria was the most friendly, loveliest host we have met . This just made the whole experience next level wonderful .

I cannot say enough about this place besides …GO!!!! I promise , you will not only go the one time .

After visiting The Tea Rooms 1892 for a birthday celebration I am looking for any excuse to return.

You feel as though you have absolutely stepped back in time with the magnificent decor that surrounds you. With the delectable food and impeccable service I would implore anyone to visit. .

The tea rooms is our go to place for lovely cakes and tea.

All the foods are beautifully presented and the tastes never fails to impress. My favourite is the Rasberry Pistachio Love, refreshing and the presence of the pistachio brings a lovely twist. The Zen Zest tea beautifully compliments the cake.

In additon all the staff are lovely and attentive. Overall exceptional experience and highly recommend this place for anyone who is in the city.

Staff were so friendly and welcoming, food was a perfect mixture of delicious and traditional, tea was perfectly unique and creative, and food and tea came very quickly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My partner and I have been here a few times but we only had cake and tea, which were superb. We were so happy that we stumbled upon this place that we decided to try High Tea after enviously seeing others do so. Not only was the High Team experience amazing, I need to point out that the service provided by Maria and her team was next level. Thank you Maria, it was lovely to meet you, and you will be seeing us again very soon.

This place is so special to me, not only as it has so much charm and style and transports you immediately back to a by-gone era of old tearooms with style and class but because it is where my late mother adored to come and have the beautiful scones and cakes. Such fond memories of her whenever I am here. This historic charming place is a part of Melbourne and always will be. Delicious cakes and food await you and first class service. Highly recommend for anyone in Melbourne city to visit!

The staff were very accommodating and friendly, food arrived without us waiting too long and most importantly, everything tasted delicious. The ambience of the shop was also very beautiful.

Came in on my own and had a delicious poached eggs and smoked salmon on toast for breakfast – very generous amount of salmon! Excellent coffee too. Unfortunately couldn’t fit a cake in on this visit…fast and friendly service.

Beautiful experience and yummy cakes

The porridge was amazingly delicious and almost too pretty to eat!

I’m a big fan of tea , I normally chose original tea such like earl gray and Ceylon

But this Earl Gray Rose tea is amazing

Also strawberry sponge cake is so delicious
