I heartily recommend this venue. Great food. Attentive and excellent staff. My daughters took me out for high tea. Great coffee and an iconic location. Thank you to the hard working polite and friendly staff. Compliments to the chef and pastry chef. All freshly made food. And very generous servings. I was full.

I’ve never tasted food as good as this! This gorgeous tea room is beautifully decorated with extremely friendly & polite staff. The food/drinks were very tasty & the crockery was also stunning. We dined there for breakfast & as it was so good, we came back for lunch. A delightful experience & a must visit ☺️

An added surprise was when a customer randomly bought us a slice of delicious cake to share between the 3 of us 😮 I’ve NEVER had anyone treat us to this sort of kindness, absolutely amazing. The staff said this happens a few times too! This truly made …. our …. day 🙏

Lovely service, beautiful cakes and I didn’t know tea could get that good

Can’t believe it was my first time here after being in Melbourne for 3 years. The staff was super friendly, the variety of teas was incredible and cakes are delicious. Can’t wait to go back and experience a little bit of 1800s in 2022. Even if you are a coffee person(like me) I recommend to try the teas here. Cakes we ordered : pecan tart and raspberry pistachio cake.

A very good place to relax and unwind with simply a cuppa of coffee or even latte, as per se. The food and dessert are really fresh and delicious too besides the nice ambience and decor making it to the next level.

The Manager (from Gujerat) is very polite, friendly and helpful too besides the sweet smiling Team Leader (from China). Overall, The Team is excellent in their Teamwork serving so many Customers each session- Keep Up The Good Work.

I shall return when i next visit Melbourne as this is a Must Visit Place!

Nice cakes and large varieties of tea!

Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed. So perfect to enter the nostalgic atmosphere and soak up the decor and dine on a spectacular feast of goodies from pastries, cocktail sandwiches and small cakes topped off with a seasonal fruit platter. To top it all off the “to-go pack” of scones jam and cream put the icing on the cake. Staff so generous with time and willingness to serve. Thanks for creating a wonderful memory for International Women’s Day 2022. Great venue, great company great experience. Kerry

What a magnificent cafe with such history. Food and coffee were served on gorgeous china and was really yum! Great service too. Loved our experience at the tea rooms for breakfast.

We had a beautiful high tea for 4. Jess was our host and she was wonderful. She fully explained the afternoon and gave us a menu explanation. Her attention to us was wonderful. She went above and beyond, even escorting me to the bathroom as I lost my way. The food was so beautifully presented and delicious. I woul definitely go back again when next I am in Melbourne. Thank you Jess for a beautiful afternoon.

For years on visits to Melbourne I have walked past the tea rooms in the block arcade, taken photos of the beautiful cakes and sweets in the windows, high on my Melbourne bucket list. Last week I visited with a friend for a special birthday and it lived up to my high tea dreams. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful high tea. I highly recommend.

Reena was so amazingly helpful with our booking, and the high tea was delicious. The quiches in particular had the best pastry I’ve ever had, and the sweet treats were excellent.

I would very much recommend the Tea Rooms 1892.

My niece and myself visited the store last week and had a best experience of high tea. The cake was delicious and the tea selection was really good. Will definitely visit again!! Staffs were so friendly and kind.

I come to Aus for travel this time, and I experienced this store. I often like to drink tres with dessert. The tea is so wonderful and vanilla slice is also wonderful. I feel like to be princess in heaven. U make me so happy

What a hidden gems in Melbourne CBD . True treasure and history, There are located in Melbourne CBD and over hundred years of transitional tea room. We are so glad to be here for afternoon tea. Manager Reena is one of the excellent manager who I can remember in my life and her staff are so lovely too. Keep it up your fine work . We love you all .

My friend and myself spent a lovely couple of hours at the tea rooms yesterday. The atmosphere was enchanting and the High Tea is not to be missed. Jess our server was so professional and friendly and explained everything with a lovely smile. I could tell even behind the mask! The food selection was varied and beautifully presented. From delicate sandwiches and quiches to a wide selection of little cakes and slices with fresh fruit . Not to mention the warm scones jam and cream. And sipping our selection of a wide range of beautiful organic teas from the pretty china cup and saucer was delightful. Would highly recommend the High Tea for a special treat .

First time visitor, no queue to get in! Yummy scones, Scrumptious Portuguese tart, lovely cup of tea! We will be back for high tea and more treats!

My first time here, and I’m certain it will not be my last. Lovely selection of cakes and tea to choose from, and I ended up having the chocolate Swiss roll and Congo Bongo tea. Most delicious combination as recommended by their staff.

A group of my friends and I came to the tea rooms for afternoon tea, the drinks and cakes were delicious and amazing. We loved it! Would definitely recommend. It‘s a peaceful space, good for going alone or with friends.
